I read Coraline for the first time over the weekend and fell in love with it. I had enjoyed the film anyway so sort out the novel and it turns out to be even better. Though this piece is inspired by the film, it was the love of the book that pushed me into doing an image.
I have spent the entire day on this. Battling with losing my work due to crashing programs, taking an age to find the stock for the internet continually disconnects, and the heat that I just cannot escape from today...I very nearly gave up. But I am so darn proud of this piece...really really proud.
